Drama Review: The Smile Has Left Your Eyes

assalamualaikum and hi

today I'm gonna do one of my favourite kdrama that has just finished airing last week! despite of its ending, I still cant get over it and I still miss the drama.

The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (TSHLYE)

**** spoiler alert ****

I tell you guys, this drama is the best of the best for this year. there're so many kdramas airing this year and this one really caught me off guard because every episodes will give you the unexpected story line which you can never imagined. not to forget when you think that it's gonna be the same way as the Japanese version which makes you anxious because in Japanese version it would be a sad ending in a bad way which we dont want that in kdrama land righttttt. so yeapppp. 16 episodes of with anxiety, laugh, tears, and the list goes on.

The Hero : Seo In Guk as Kim Moo Young

to be honest, I'm not a big fan of SIG but I do watch some of his drama such as Hello Monster, Shopaholic Louis and Master's Sun. he did well in all those drama but he did not catch my attention at any drama since I'm so in love with the other oppas (sorryyyyy In Guk oppaaaaa😢). but thankfully and finally I realized his talent and from now onward I've declared myself to be his fan yayyyyy

The Heroin: Jung So Min as Yoo Jin Kang

I'm really a big fan of this unnie since she can act so well and starred in many dramas such as Playful Kiss, The Sound of Your Heart, Because This Is My First Time and the list goes on. yes, I've grown fond of her since Playful Kiss with Kim Hyun Joong as the hero. she's so good that you can feel all the emotions when she acted. but guys sumpah. TSHLYE is her best acting of all dramas. reallyyyyy.

so basically this drama is about Kim Moo Young that wanted to find his lost memories about his childhood and Yoo Jin Kang that has fall in love with Moo Young and unexpectedly finds more about her childhood. conflicts appears when Jin Kang's brother; Yoo Jin Kook doesnt allow both of them to be together since he doesnt like Moo Young. little did he knows that Moo Young actually have something to do with his old past which he really regret doing it.

fuhhh I'm really having a difficult time to give a synopsis since I'm not so good with words and expressing them but nevertheless this is what the drama's actually about. you may wanted to know why I'm making a fuss to make you guys watch this drama.

well first, yes the story line may be a little bit expected as the Japanese version but nopeeee it's not. so yes, please watch it. okay let's say it's the same plot as other dramas before this but noooooo. absolutely no. because people you're missing another point here. the cinematography, lighting, little details such as Moo Young's drawing of his family gives a meaning! I didnt realize it as I was watching it until in ep 13,14,15 and 16 where it all makes sense. man, even a cat doing nothing in the scene also will give a meaning you know. hahahahah okay I do sound a bit exaggerating but it's!

another reasons to watch this drama is because of the transition of past and future in this drama will make you crave for more. I just dont know how the director and editor do it but it's really good and you wanted to know more.

I also loves how Moo Young's character changes from each episodes because of Jin Kang. a man changes when he fall in love with a sweet girl. wouldnt you melt? the moment where he realized that he has fall in love with Jin Kang and Jin Kang fall in love with him really gives me a butterlyyyy feelings. awwwwwwwwwww I need someoneeeeee hahaha

well yes, this is my favourite scene of them when Moo Young says he cant calculate his action when he's with Jin Kang. little did he knows that he's already fall in love with Jin Kang at this moment. ahhhhh

the ending? it's actually a sad ending but in a good way. what I mean in a good way is that you know that they can be together forever like that. of course I wanted a happy ending for them; getting married, having kids and a lovey dovey moments together but looking at all of their hardships together since ep 1, I wont ask for more. I'm more than satisfy with the endings.

last but no least, I hope you guys can watch this drama. eventho it has low ratings in Korea but internationally it has the highest rating. so, this underrated drama that you think it wouldn't be as much fun and as much tears as you watch it then you are wrong because this is the right drama for you guys.

thank you Seo In Guk and Jung So Min for giving the best drama for me to watch in 2018. The Smile Has Left Your Eyes is officially my best kdrama of this year. much lovee!

Ching!
