Drama Review: Age Of Youth

assalamualaikum and hi.

I'm back! and today I'm gonna review one of the best drama in 2016. which drama is it? dum dammmm *drum rolling*

It's AGE OF YOUTH everybody!

**spoiler alert**

yeshhhh! hahahaha. believe it or not I've only started to watch this drama in this week. just finished watching it just this morning. I started by last night and finished this morning. crazy huh? hahahaha. what is sleep? 😝

I've decided to give this drama a chance because seems like every kdrama freak has been waiting for this drama for its season 2 which will aired within this month or next month. seriously one of my favourite Instagram buddy that love to post about kdrama video also excited about season 2. that's whyyy, I watched it. guess what?

IT'S GOOD!

so today I'm gonna review this Age of Youth season 1 drama. eventho many of you guys have already watched it but yeah I'll just give a review hahahah.

Age of Youth season 1 have 12 episodes in total. it was directed by Lee Tae Gon nim and Kim Sang Ho nim. to be honest I don't really know all of the cast in this drama. that's probably one of the reason why I dont watch it when it aired last year (feeling guilty). nevertheless, I've come to falling in love with each of the cast within episode 1!

we have 5 main cast which are :

Han Ye Ri as Yoon Jin Myung.
Han Seung Yeon as Jung Ye Eun.
Park Eun Bin as Song Ji Won.
Ryu Hwa Young as Kang Yi Na.
Park Hye Soo as Yoo Eun Jae.

I've only known Han Seung Yeon and that's it. so, what's this drama actually about? It's about five different person with different personality living together in a house. all of them are an university student except Kang Yi Na.

since everyone of them have different life style, in each episode it will untold what their life has been so far and why did they turn up to be like that. mygad! I've never knew that watching a drama about a life five different girls in their 20s would be this interesting.

in this drama we will see how Yoo Eun Jae first move to the house as she's a new freshmen in the university that the other unnis attended. it shows how she have the difficulty to adjust to the new surroundings, lifestyle, friends, etc. in this part you'll be reminded of your first day staying in the dorm away from your house. I knew how Eun Jae felt about moving to the house. how strange and uncomfortable. but later, she and the other unnis are doing well together and shared many more memories together. her story will unfold throughout the drama where she had kill someone. how she deal with her childish mom. and she had a boyfriend. a sunbae! in her freshmen year to that! ahhh, what I've been dreaming of. hahahaha.

as for Yoon Jin Myung. she started of rough in this drama. she's a bit complicated. I dont blame her. the one that should be blame is her family. she have so many part time jobs because she need to support her mom and her sick brother that has been warded for two years (in comma). in addition to that, she need to deal with her mother's debt. poor her. she struggle with part time jobs and study. she looks plain and doesnt really dress up. she's just living her life until some day her chef from the restaurant she work at keep showing his love to her. she fell for him too (it's too cute!) but she cant go deeper because of her situation eventho the chef understand her. sad huh? but then, at the end of the drama. they're together. watch it! they're too cute together!πŸ’“

next, it's Jung Ye Eun. she's so pretty and cute! she had a boyfriend that she had been falling all over again. she major in nutrition and really cares on her diet. she's been devoted to her boyfriend but too bad her boyfriend is a nappeun saekki (bad guy). well excuse me, you got a great, bubbly girlfriend and you're still being a jerk to her. wth mann. he'll break up with her when he's pissed off with her. he'll be mad to her about college thing and other unlogical reasons. but you go girls! at the end she break up with him for real! yashhh. there's an incident after that where he kidnap her. punch her and make her like a toy where merely just to be by his side. huh now you cant accept the reality ait man? thankfully the other unnis find out and rescue her! it's a bit funny actually the way they save her especially the time where Eun Jae hurt her palm and they were crying like she's gonna die hahahhaha. funny af, I keep laughing at that part. in the end, she's traumatized with the kidnapping incident and are having a counseling from time to time.

who we have next? it's Kang Yi Na. she's beautiful and sexy. she's not a student but all the others believe that she's a student at first because she lied about it. she's a gold digger. she pleased other man and in return she gets money. woaaaa girl. I dont know why but I dont find her being disgusting at all or to where I wanna call her a slut because I find her amusing. she still had the dignity on how she 'work' for the men. she also had some secret where she had killed a girl before (?). I dont quite understand this part here because I've skipped it a lot because I dont really like the ahjussi which was close to her was actually the father that the child Yi Na killed (?). In the end, she quit her job as a gold digger and work in a boutique and have a more meaningful life. yeah you rock girl!

last but save for the best is uri Song Ji Won unni!πŸ’œ I really love her! like really eventho sometimes I find her annoying because of her attitude. hahahah. unni yaaa, I think we're the same tho. she's been living her life and not once she's been dating or have a boyfriend. on top of that, she's actually quite pretty and cute but because of her overly confident, talkative, over friendly personality that makes man lost interest to her as a woman. hahahaha. aigoo unni ya what to do? that's how she's been like. she's a mood maker. but she do have a male friend that she always make fun of and ask to be his girlfriend but yeah her friend gets annoyed. hahahaha it's too cute! one thing that I love about Ji Won unni is that she understand people. she cared about people around her. she sometimes could be a protective friends, sometimes a bad or nice friends but most of all, she's kindπŸ’™ I would want her to be my bestfriends! people says the most cheerful person is the one that's always lonely. I think Ji Won unni is like that. she may be laughing all day but at night she'll be thinking about her life. on when will she have a love partner. worrying about those things can sometimes make you lonely. woaaa, experience huh fatin? hahahahha

overall, I love this drama because it reminded me of my own bestfriends (read: Odiesther). this is the exact imagination I have for all seven of us 5 years ago for our university life. too bad we're scattered and furthering our studies on different U *sobs*sobs

it reminded me on how I miss being with them. laughing and having a late night talks. or even went out to go have a drinks and shared a simple conversation but it's fun. nowadays, I've been really busy with house work. I dont really have the time to be with them. too much commitment that I feel like I rather be in college because I'll have my own free time to do anything that I like. but then again I remembered that I just have less than a month now for my holiday thus I'm gonna have fun and go on with the flow. being at home is not that boring tho because I have my mom, dad, siblings, nanny, aunties, uncles and cousins. what more should I wish for? I'll meet with my girls when there's a good time to catch up! yeay meee

hahahahah. ohmygod. how did this become a post of my rant at the end? excuse me gais. there's just too much in my head this past few days that I've spilled it all like this.

nevertheless my ratings for Age of Youth is

8/10

I'm looking forward to season 2 of this drama. more charming actor are in too (Shinee, Onew!) I'll give it a review once I've finish watching it. stay tuned!

that's all for this post. love you guyss

xoxo
