Movie Review: Everything Everything

assalamualaikum and hi!

hey, do you guys remember when I said I will do some kdrama reviews soon? well yeah, I'm gonna do it but nope! not today! hahahaha

as I've mentioned before, I'm a kdrama freak. a total freak for kdrama. but, I still and do watch other series like American, Japan, Taiwan, etc series or drama or movies. so today I'm gonna review one of the latest movie that I've watched just probably 20 minutes ago!

EVERYTHING EVERYTHING

yeaaa. simple as that the movie tittle. and yes it was everything! well at least to me. starring by Nick Robinson and Amandla Stenberg. it was directed by Stella Meghie.

actually, I've seen the trailer since 2 months ago but didnt get the chance to see it in the cinema. and tonight I've got some free alone time for myself and yash! it's online and decided to give it a try since the trailer gave me an impression. and I've only knew that it's a story from bestseller book! myohmy! that's why it's so famous! 

my rate for this drama? 9.5/10!

it was so good! but of course there's some part that I cant find any logic behind it. I started to feel the butterflies feeling from the start. it also gives you the clue in the beginning on why Maddy is locked up inside the house. for those whom have not read the book (like me), you wouldnt feel confused at all on the reasons why she's at home because it's explained well in this movie. she had an illness where when she's out from home, she'll die because her body can't fight the bacteria, yada, yada, yada. 

the part when she met Olly for the first time. ohmygod! sweet! and it gave you the biggest smile on your face because they're too cute together! then the movie developed on how both of them getting to know each other. the mother-daughter bond between Maddy and her mother. and also her nurse. and then the part where Maddy and Olly met for the first time! in the same room!

there you go. cute isnt it? thanks to her nurse which allow these love birds to meet! hahahahah. and then the story goes on with the two of two being in love and here goes the second meeting. I'll say that their second meeting is one of my favourite scene in the movie. the song, the surrounding, it's so dreamy and perfect!

see? romantic isnt it?! 

the story goes on where Maddy's mom knew about Olly coming over which the nurse and Maddy kept from telling her. she's been furious and fired the nurse. awww poor her. 

so, there's other incidents coming but I'll skip that part because I'm just so excited about their trip to Hawai. this scene was where Maddy looks so gorgeous and beautiful where my Olly looks so handsome and fine af. 

sweet!

their trip to Hawai was awesome where both of them confess their feelings to each other. shared a kiss and some romantic night. it was all perfect until the next morning Maddy feels sick and Olly rush her to the hospital. the next thing I know that Maddy's lying in her bed at home and there's no Olly. Maddy wanted to end their relationship but not for Olly because he's madly in love with her. well actually Maddy's still in love with Olly but because of her mother's psycho advice, there she goes. leaving my poor baby Olly alone. 

after that incident, Olly still keeping in touch with Maddy (emails, phone calls) but none of them Maddy ever reply. until one night Maddy saw Olly and his family (w/out his father) are on the move. they're moving back to NY. that's when Maddy checks back Olly's email where he stated that he will be moving back to NY w/out his father (since his father is such a dickhead to them) late at that night. they exchange gaze and bye and off Olly's go. 

Maddy's continue her life w/out Olly. she seems depressed and sad but keep thinking that this is how her life should be as a sick girl. then one day she got a phone call from the doctor from the hospital she's admitted in Hawai. i dont really get it but the doctor said that her illness is not like what her mother stated. the one that will die when step out from the house. 

that's when everything was revealed. Maddy's mom had been keeping her in the house and claimed that she had the ilness because she's afraid that she will lose Maddy just like how she lost Maddy's father and brother in the car accident. worried and trauma of the lost, that's why she kept Maddy in the house all the time. this is where I think it's not logic and a bit psycho for one person to feel like this. but then I forgot that she's her mother. well dude, lost your husband and son. you dont want to lose your daughter too right? 

Maddy couldnt understand and forgive her mom at first but as the time goes by, she understand her and yeah. then, she went on the plane to NY to meet Olly. who wouldnt?! you go girl! and there they are. falling in each other's arms and kissing. awwwwww! sweeto! the end!

overall, I enjoy this movie a lot! and as of today, I've declared myself as Nick Robinson's fan! yeayyy me!
