Movie Review: Sunny

assalamualaikum and hi.

I just finished watching one of the famous korean movie from 6 years ago. I was a bit late (wayyy more late actually) but nothing's late for a good movie.

SUNNY 

I knew about this movie when from Minzy of 2NE1. she said she wanted to have a high school memories like in the movie; Sunny. inspired by that, I really wanted to watch it and finally I've got the time today and yash! I've watched it.

it was a moving, touching and really emotional movie for me. it brings back old memories of you with your friends from high school. getting all the flashbacks about the old great days with your best friends forever back in your school day. I kept on reminiscing all of them throughout the movies. 

the story started about an ajumma (aunt) living her ordinary life as a housewife. rich husband and a spoiled daughter. she's Im Nami. she's been living her life as a devoted daughter to her mother at the hospital. she came across an event where she met one of her long lost friend which was at the other ward. her friend; Chun Hwa suffer from a last stage cancer which she only have 2 months left to live. the have a happy reunion. Chun Hwa asked to meet all of their other friends from high school before she die. this is where it all begins. their adventure and the flashbacks.

Back at the old school days, Im Nami went to a new school in Seoul. she's from Jeolla Do and got teased by her dialect which is different from the other kids. eventually she then got close to the other kids; Chun Hwa, Jang Mi, Su Ji, Bok Hee, Jin Hee and Geum Bok. each one of them have different types of personality which makes them more charming in this movie. I'm in aww because every one of them you will once meet in your school days. ohhh, how I miss school so much.

they were so young, energetic, cheerful, full of fun. there are many other incidents which left them being in trouble but makes them even closer than before. Su Ji which doesnt even like Nami at first because she's from Jeolla Do (her stepmom's from Jeolla Do too) come to loves Nami at the end by a bottle of soju. hahahaha do watch if you wanna know what I'm talking about. you can also see how Jang Mi was so obsessed with her fake double eyelid. Bok Hee which dream of being a Miss Korea in the future. Su Ji, the prettiest girl in the school and area. Geum Bok which dream of being the best writer after finishing school. we also have Jin Hee which loves to curse a lot and trying so hard to be tough but actually all she can do is curse hahahahah. and there we have Chun Hwa. the leader, love to have fun and very easy going. 

they have their own gang name; Sunny. cute right? they got their gang's name from a radio. hahahaha so old school. I used to send text to radio station back in the past but they never read it hahahahaha. ohmygod embarrassing. 

back to the movie, it all going well with the plot and fun until one day there's a bitch that was once friends with Chun Hwa makes a fuss with Nami. I forgot her name really. lets just call her bitch because she's really a bitch (excuse me >.<). so, this bitch is bullying Nami alone and try to take picture of Nami's naked body to embarrass her but thankfully there's Su Ji at the corner smoking. she saved Nami and that's where that bitch got so mad. actually Chun Hwa stop befriend with that bitch because that bitch sniff glue. yes everybody. she loves glue! euwwwwwww

anyway, the climax of the story is where that bitch is going after Nami on their school festival day after she got expelled from school. all the other Sunny's members came to save Nami. they fought like a real girl should fight but unfortunately Su Ji got a big cut at her cheeks from that crazy bitch. she bleeds so much that I thought she's going to die. all of them are expelled from school because of the fighting incidents. they cried a river in front of Su Ji's home and promised to stay friends forever even they're expelled from school. 

that's from their old school days. this movie actually keep going back to the past and back to the future. I dont really like this kind of concept actually because where I've already immersed in some parts suddenly it shifts to the future and vice versa. so, how's about their future? I'll leave them mysterious for you guys to watch! we huuuuuuuu!

there's more fun parts actually besides from what I've type above, so do watch it because it really worth your time! the bad things is, you will be missing your glory great old days with your friends and be sad that it cannot be rewind back. *sigh
